Our projects practice is mostly focused on sponsor representation, who we advise on all aspects of Azerbaijani law (including governmental permits and consents, constructions and regulatory requirements, land acquisitions and leases etc.) and assist with negotiation of project and finance documents.

• representing a sponsor of a Shahdag winter resort in negotiation of an EPC contract with the value of EUR 200 million;

• representing a major international hotel chain in connection with 2 hospitality projects in Azerbaijan;

• representing a French industrial group in connection with a project relating to construction of waste-to-energy plant having a project value circa EUR 350 million, , including advice on public procurement laws, drafting and negotiation of a FIDIC-based contract, advice on tax structuring, local licensing and regulatory requirements etc.;

• representing sponsors in connection with construction and financing of a methanol plant with a total project value in excess of USD 300 million, including assistance with tax and corporate structuring, EPC contracts, gas, water, electricity supply contracts, land acquisition matters, licensing requirements, financing documentation etc.;

• representing a foreign telecommunication company in relation to a multi-million satellite project in Azerbaijan;

• representing sponsors in connection with financing and construction of aluminum smelter and iron smelter.
