Our dispute resolution practice is focused on high-stake cross border disputes involving Azerbaijani elements (including international arbitrations). We have also experience of representing clients in all stages of domestic civil cases (concentrating on defense work for our corporate clients).

Selected cross-border matters:

• providing Azerbaijani law advice in connection with international arbitration cases;

• providing Azerbaijani law advice in connection with a multi-million claim brought against a major Russian oil company in the UK courts;

• acting as a local counsel to the leading South African firm Webber Wentzel Bowens in connection with defending the Republic of Azerbaijan in the case brought in the courts of South Africa. The case involved a 100 million USD claim brought against a number of Azerbaijani defendants, including the Republic of Azerbaijan, and was successfully settled;

• providing advice on Azerbaijani law matters in connection with a multi-million case in the courts of the State of New York.

• assisting a foreign company in recovery of debt from its Azerbaijani counterpart;

• representing a foreign oil company in a case related to environmental damage and working out court strategy;

• representing a foreign oil company in a labor dispute;

• advising a foreign oil company in a case relating to a dispute with a sub-contractor;

• tax litigations.
